News travels fast in a small community like Oxtongue Lake, and when it’s especially good news it should be spread even faster!  This past week, Colin, Brenda, and James Smith of Parkway Cottage Resort donated two new defibrillators to the Oxtongue Lake Volunteer Fire Department.  The rescue truck always has carried a defibrillator on board, but the pumper and equipment truck have not.  With this generous gift from the Smiths, all three vehicles now carry defibrillators.  This means that on any call answered by Station 70 — whether it’s a highway accident in the Park, a nearby fire, or a distress call from any of us living in Oxtongue Lake — defibrillators and trained personnel will be on all responding vehicles.  To Colin, Brenda, and Jamie — THANK YOU from a grateful community!
