Due to some inquiries, I thought it best to update. While Algonquin Park may have lifted their fire ban, many of the surrounding areas, including Haliburton and Muskoka have not.
The Fire Ban is still in place in Haliburton County. We are hopeful for tomorrow’s rain, and the Township will be reevaluating the ban on Wednesday. It is still extremely dry and unfortunately we do need multiple days of rain to help alleviate the months of no rain.
The sign at the fire hall will be kept up to date and we will update this website as well, once we hear. You can also visit algonquinhighlands.ca for up to date information.
